Four habits that protect the immune window

  1. Keep a consistent wake time, even on weekends. Immune rhythms follow the circadian clock.
  2. Protect the last 90 minutes of sleep — that is when the deepest immune repair occurs.
  3. Avoid alcohol within three hours of bed; it suppresses REM and fragments the immune-critical deep stages.
  4. If you are fighting something, allow an earlier bedtime rather than a later wake-up.
